CUDDLE+KIND The Kenya Story

Witness first hand the great work Cuddle+Kind is doing in Kenya.

This story began five years ago with a simple idea to help feed children in need. Our family created a collection of beautiful hand-knit cotton dolls that children love, and for every doll sold we provide 10 meals to children in need. We’re so grateful that in less than three years we’ve provided over 5 million meals to children in 66 countries including the US and Canada through our partnerships with several humanitarian agencies.

We recently traveled to Kenya to meet the children our dolls help feed, and it was a truly inspiring experience. We were able to see firsthand the genuine impact we’re making together in their lives. We provide nutritious school meals to over 11,000 children at 25 schools in Kenya. These meals include fresh vegetables and fruit grown at a local farm that we also support. When children are given nutritious meals in school, attendance increases particularly among girls and school performance greatly improves. For many children, a school lunch is the only meal they receive all day. By providing school meals that support education, your purchase gives children the opportunity to reach their full potential.

Our values drive all our decisions because we want cuddle+kind to make a positive impact in every possible way. Every cuddle+kind doll is lovingly handcrafted by talented artisans in Peru. Stitch by beautiful stitch.

It was important to us that our dolls are ethically produced, which means we provide 750 artisans with fair trade wages so they can support their families and improve their communities. We use natural premium cotton yarn and every doll is heirloom quality.

When you choose to purchase a cuddle and kind doll you’re making a meaningful impact on the lives of children around the world and right here at home. We invite you to shop our collection and join us in helping to feed children in need, together we’ve provided over 5 million meals and this is just the beginning.
